Flying 2-year-old Courseshewill is in wonderful form winning both her starts in great fashion, on Saturday at Doomben and a fortnight ago at Toowoomba. Courseshewill skipped over the heavy 9 track to win by three-quarters of a length over the 1050m start.

Courseshewill was the $4.00 second favourite behind the well supported favourite Country Cocktail, who won a trial impressively by 4 lengths. The order of betting did not reflect in the results with Country Cocktail finishing fifth.

Matty McGillivray, confident and keen to race forward, jumped Courseshewill with the field of 10 but soon mustered speed and went to the lead.

Passing the 700m mark Matty was able to steady the tempo and control the race allowing Courseshewill to relax mid-race, all the while the short price favourite, Country Cocktail, was racing 3 wide.

On straightening, there was a wall of horses chasing her. At the 250m point, she was still in the lead but the Chris Munce trained horse, Buckets Of Pride, started to roar down the outside but was too late to catch the Unencumbered filly. Cousreshewill went on to win impressively considering that she had 1.5kg more than every other horse in the race in such challenging conditions.

With Courseshewill carrying 58kg yesterday, it will be a lighter task for her in the 2yo Magic Millions classic race on January the 12th, with fillies carrying 55kg and colts carrying 57kg.

This horse is entirely owned by women so, in addition to racing for the Magic Millions prize money of $2,000,000, it will also be in the running for the Women's Bonus with first past the post entirely owned by women to be rewarded with a 325k bonus, second 100k, third 50k and fourth 25k. This is a great opportunity - you have to be in it to win it!

Congratulations to the owners: Miss J Brosnan, Mrs V A Stephenson, Mrs T M Wessel, Mrs E J Bourke, Ms D P Reilly, Mrs H B Betts, Mrs A M Hickey, Mrs B E Shannon, Ms A Camilleri, Mrs K Ford, Mrs A C Grant-Taylor, Mrs W L Sullivan, Mrs L M Schultz & Mrs C D Clarke

On this occasion, Courseshewill was strapped by Kane Anderton.
