The winners keep on coming for the stable with Say I See You pocketing $67,200 for his lucky owners after claiming the 3yo QTIS 1300m handicap at Toowoomba on Monday.

After the Doomben meeting was abandoned on Saturday it was great to see Racing Queensland rescheduled both the 2yo and 3yo races from this meeting to Toowoomba on Monday.

The weather continued to deteriorate throughout the day however the track remained a soft 6 for the entire meeting with locals saying to stay away from the fence.

In what looked an even field Say I Cee You appeared on paper to have the fitness and superior wet track form after winning easily at his previous start on a heavy 8 at the Sunshine Coast.

Say I Cee You travelled easily outside the leader Big Arjay as they passed the 850 metre point looking as though he was handling the wet conditions again.

On straightening Say I Cee You opened up a break of 1.25 lengths over the field with others behind him struggling in the late afternoon track conditions.

With the win well and truly in the bag jockey Dale Smith eased Say I Cee You down when winning by 2.5 lengths.

As a maturing 3yo Say I Cee You looks a promising horse for the owners and stable.

Prior to Say I Cee You’s race there was another three 1300m races run with the last one being race six. The times recorded in these races in order were:  Race 3 Class 4 hcp 1:21.32, Race 4 Maiden hcp 1:21.46, Race 6 Maiden 1:22.52

It’s incredible to think the time recorded by Say I Cee You when winning the tenth and final race of the day on a track which deteriorated was 1:20.81 which was significantly quicker than the times recorded early in the day by the winners of the previous 1300m races.

Being by Rothesay out of Show A Heart mare Say I Cee You is bred along the same lines as Havasay who is also by Rothesay from a Show A Heart mare. Havasay dislikes the wet tracks but Say I Cee You appears to relish the wet.

Hopefully when back on firmer ground Say I Cee You will continue to excel and improve with time just like Havasay has.

Congratulations to all owners Mark McLean, Jane Brosnan, Damien Merola, Brett Clulow, Andy Grant, Steve Morely, Shane Ryan, David Vedelago, Darren Oates, Sam Daniels, Lucky 16 No 1 & Lucky Sixteen No 2 Syndicates.

On this occasion Say I Cee You was strapped by Jan Aitkenhead.
